Definition and Example Painting

1. Painting is one branch of art. With the same basic sense, painting is a more complete development of the drawing.

2. Printmaking is the branch of art work creation process using printing techniques , usually on paper . Unless the Monotype technique , the process is able to create a copy of the same work in large quantities , this is called the printing process . Each copy of the work known as the ' impression ' . Painting or drawing, on the other hand , create a unique original artwork . Prints are created from the surface of a material , technically called the matrix . Matrix commonly used are : metal plate , usually copper or zinc for engraving or etching ; stone used for lithography ; wood boards for woodcut / woodcuts . There are many other materials used in this artwork . Each print is usually regarded as original works of art , not a copy . The works are printed on a plate create an edition , in the modern art works each signed and numbered to indicate that the work is limited edition .

3. Art sculpture is a branch of the art three-dimensional tangible results of his work. Usually created by way of sculpting, modeling (eg clay) or casting (with mold).
